Colleen Kelly is a licensed marriage and family therapist with private practices in Encino and Irvine, California. She sees individuals, couples, families and adolescents in her private practice. Colleen is Co-Director of PCH’s Treatment Center’s Family Program where she runs successful family intensives for clients and their loved ones. Colleen regularly presents seminars and conducts workshops on a wide variety of topics including couple and family work; addiction and recovery as well as mindfulness.

Colleen specializes in helping couples and families heal relationship hurts and trauma and find a way back to love. She has advanced training in emotionally focused therapy for couples. Colleen has facilitated trainings on couple and family work and has also led couples workshops.

Colleen is actively involved in the field of addiction and recovery and has worked on staff at a variety of treatment center’s. She has run groups for individuals in recovery and specializes in working with couples, where one or both members of the couple are in recovery. Colleen served as adjunct faculty in the School of Behavioral Sciences at Cal Southern University in the Addiction Studies Program.

Colleen underwent 8 years of training in modern psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy. This includes working for 4 years under close supervision with Dr. Lionel Corbett, MD, Jungian analyst, who is a writer and a lecturer on the intersection of psychology and spirituality. Colleen also draws from the rich interdisciplinary field of interpersonal neurobiology to help her clients find new, more healthy and resilient ways of living in the world.

Colleen has worked in a variety of settings, including at a medical clinic, 2 community counseling clinics, outpatient & residential treatment centers, as well as at schools with at-risk youth. Underpinning Colleen’s work as a therapist is a long-time personal and professional interest in meditation, mindfulness studies, and body-oriented methods of growth and healing. This includes being certified as a Focusing oriented psychotherapist.
