Areas of Practice

Individual Therapy

All of us struggle at times with overwhelming events: loss, personal tragedies, life transitions, forms of emotional or physical pain, and relationship difficulties. Given the many stressors we face, we can easily become overwhelmed, stressed out or afflicted by psychological symptoms.

Couples Therapy

Whether you are just beginning a relationship, or you have been in one for a long time, we all come up against certain, distinctly human struggles and difficulties.

Family Therapy

Every relationship has its ups and downs, but when we go through sustained difficulties that we are unable to effectively address, it may be time to reach out for help.

Focusing

Focusing is a powerful process that takes you beyond the limitations of your intellect to your innermost knowing. In this process you hold an open non-judging awareness of something that is not yet fully known but is distinctly felt by the body.

Mentalization

Mentalization helps us to understand how and why misunderstandings happen in relationships.  Learning how to mentalize effectively leads to improved relations and smoother social interactions.  Mentalizing can help us to clarify our own perspective along with an openness and flexibility in seeing more than one side of the situation.

Spirituality

We come into this world with a unique set of gifts. If we are nurtured and responded to while growing up, and there was a space made for our uniqueness, as well as our feelings, then we are more likely to lead fulfilling lives whereby this uniqueness can be realized.
